Measured checks · local processing · official sources

Prepare a passport photo without sending it away

Choose the exact US or UK application route. The tool handles measurable file preparation and keeps human judgment separate from technical checks.

Private, browser-only photo preparation

Prepare the file you actually need

Choose the exact application route, use the measured checks, then review the items a browser cannot judge.

Your photo stays on this device

The file is decoded, cropped, and downloaded in your browser. This flow does not upload it to our server.

Honest result language

Three states, no approval score

A passport photo can have the right pixels and still fail because of lighting, expression, framing, or prior editing.

Meets a measured requirement
The browser checked a concrete value such as file format, bytes, pixels, or generated dimensions.
Needs action
A measured value falls outside the published technical rule.
Check manually
A person must review background, pose, expression, shadows, likeness, and whether the original was altered.

Questions that change the safest next step

Does the checker upload my passport photo? +

No. The new free workflow reads, crops, and downloads the photo inside your browser. The file is not sent to the AnyPassportPhoto server.

Does a green result mean the passport office will accept my photo? +

No. Green rows only cover measurements the browser actually checked, such as file type, byte size, pixels, and generated dimensions. Background, expression, shadows, face position, and likeness still need manual and official review.

Why does the UK digital option not crop my photo? +

GOV.UK says a digital photo taken on your own device should include the head, shoulders, and upper body and should not be cropped because the online service will crop it.

Can this tool remove or replace the background? +

No. Identity-photo background replacement can create edge artifacts and may conflict with rules requiring an unaltered photo. Retaking against the required plain background is safer.
