Metric size: 35 x 45 mm
Digital route: At least 600 x 750 px, 50 KB to 10 MB.
Background: Plain light-coloured background with clear contrast and no shadows.
Position and expression: Face forward, look straight at the camera, keep a plain expression, mouth closed, and eyes open.
File or print note: Digital photos must be clear, in colour, in focus, and unaltered by computer software.

Digital and printed UK photos follow different handling

Use a JPEG from 50KB to 10MB that is at least 600 × 750 pixels. Do not crop or re-save it here; the UK online service handles the crop.

Prepare a 35 × 45mm print layout, then print at 100% scale on suitable photographic paper.
